Founder's Story
A little bit about myself for anyone who have not heard my story. I’ve been starting and cultivating LOCS for sixteen years now. I specialize in starting, maintaining and styling LOCS! I enjoy doing all things natural hair except for straightening it. Lol
I’m a proud mother of two amazing children! An 11 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. I was born in Jamaica and grew up in NY. I graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. I’ve been a socio therapist for a foster care agency, special education educator at the high school level as well as a counselor for disabled adults. I had my first set of Locs for 18yrs and cut them September 2019 because I thought I needed a change. My second set of Locs are 3yrs old now! The change was ok but my Locs are all I know and have felt so not myself since I cut them.
I LOVE being a mother, laughing, good food, a wide range of music, a beautiful love story, helping others, gardening (haven’t gotten the hang of it yet) traveling, meditation, karaoke, vacuuming, watching diy videos, documentaries and some reality tv.
